The apartment is perfectly located at the steep coast. Off the main road in a quiet environment but close to everything important.

The complex has smaller blocks of building columns with many trees inbetween so the feeeling you get when you look around is far away from a 'concrete jungle'. Also the people around in the complex are mostly Italian so it feels like a vaction to Italy. The complex itself is rather small and since it has only one dead end street only people who absolutely have to go there drive in there. The appartment is at the western end of the complex close to the forrest and there's lots of green around and also many trees and plants in the complex between the buildings. This turns the complex in a small sanctuary away from it all.

Summary Description of the Property:

The apartment is in a private residential neighborhood at the steep coast. It has a picturesque overview of the peninsula with view on Portofino. A roomy garage with automatic door is located close to the appartment. You have the right to use a private ropeway down to sea level that only some of the residents are allowed to share. Down there you have a private bath cabin, access to a pool and you can dive directly into the sea.

Inside the apartment you find everything you require. No need to bring linen or towels. We provide it all. And the comfort goes on: Huge windows allow a great view of the ocean and coast. The shutters on the sea side are electric. As a good night's sleep is one of the most important things on a vacation, we equip you with first class beds (in the blue sleeping room you get to sleep on original Tempur matrasses, slatted frames and pillows. The blankets for all four beds have a special system which allows to configure them to ones own personal temperature needs at night. The goal is to provide you with a place that offers everything you expect from home and even more but minimizes what you have to do, including the clean up at the end. Relax, enjoy, it's all inclusive.

The rental of this property starts June 1st 2012. We used this apartment and all it's great advantages for many years now and decided to give other people the possibility to share this unique experience. When we go on vacation we have very high standards of what we expect. Yes this apartment has it's price but you get much more for it than at all the other places comparable to our place.

Functionality is the Italian standard, the usual place has the pure basics of what you need to barely get through your stay. You'll choose to spend much time outside of your accommodation. At our place on the contrary you will feel so comfortable that it's hard to do activities outside. Rainy days? Not a problem if you're staying at our place.

We've prepared this place with lots of passion and that critical look that only the best is truly good enough. We're always trying to improve the experience making sure it is one of the good memories you'll never forget.

That why also all of our kitchen equipment is of high quality and as easy, functional and comfortable to use as possible. The mixer is cordless and able to even make crushed ice in case you want to enjoy the sunset with a nice cocktail in your hand. From the electric oven to the 4 field gas stove to the high quality fully automatic dish washer it is all there. It would be easier to tell you what we don't have. Ice cream scoop? Yes, we got that. Fish knife and fork? You bet we also got that. And when we say we got something, then it is high quality and easy on the eyes. You want to cook like people in Liguria do? No problem because we provide a cook book with genuine recipes.

The swimming pool can be used from mid-june till the end of August. During that time a lifeguard is present for your safety. The area with the swimmingpool and sea access also can be reached by a foot path (10 minutes to get down, about 15 minutes to walk back up). Access is possible during all seasons.

All equipment in the apartment is state-of-the-art. Fully-automatic dish-washer, spinner-washer (washing machine with included tumble dryer), electric oven and a 55 Inch 3D-TV with 3D-Blue Ray (and of course also DVD) Player. In the bedrooms, you find plenty of space for all your clothing. The bathroom provides everything you need, even a digital scale for your body weight. Imagine the interior of our apartment being as great as in a hotel suite but with extras you will not find in any hotel room. Enjoy the beautiful landscape sitting on the balcony in a hammock chair, or on the flat roof-deck which is accessible through a staircase outside of the apartment.

You want to have a little BBQ homestyle? Fire up the premium gas grill and help yourself to some mediterranean herbs which grow in our little garden. We planted lots of flowers and some trees to give you a nice look to the other side of the property, too. On the hillside the appartment is faced by another little garden with Olive trees and cacti.

We also want you to feel safe during your stay. The entrance to the residential area is under video surveillance and the appartment is equipped with a smoke and a gas detector, fire extinguishers and a first aid kid. We are pretty sure that you won't need those things but it sure makes you feel better that they are there just in case. Another small but important fact is that all the electrical wires and fuses are up to date and provide the most safety you can expect which is not standard in Italy.

Genova with it's museums and the famous Aquario di Genova (Aquarium) is 30 mi away and connects you with it's ferry harbor to the rest of the Mediterranean Sea.
Nizza (France) is only a two hour drive away to the west, Florence the same on the East.In the North you can reach Milan, Parma and Turin in the same time by car.

The eternal city Rome is a four and a half hour drive as well as Venice.

You have the possibility to look inside a manganese mine 12 mi away with a guided tour in various languages. Hiking in Cinque Terre with it's beautiful Via Amore is around 30 mi away and also easy to reach by train in a short time.
The amazing thing about the location of the apartement is that you have as well the sea and the mountains or as the Italiens say: 'Mare e Monti', close by. So you can go for a hike during the day and cool down at the Beach afterwards. Also Whale watching at Imperia around 100 mi away is possible. The area offers great possibilities for acitivies onshore, offshore and under the sea. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to spend your vacation on just one location because the closer region offers everything but also if you want to discover more places of Italy or the rest of Europe or the Mediterranian neighbor countries.

Our special service: You profit from three generations who owned this place. We'll provide you with all the information about what to do, where to dine and shop. Get to see and do things that ordinary tourists have no idea that they exist. We have all the insider information on location for you.

This part of Italy is very beautiful during all seasons of the year and in case it gets a little more chilly our apartment has a central heating system and also variable electric heaters and a fireplace that runs with ethanol in the livingroom. All of this allows you to spend a wonderful time in autumn, winter or spring. Use the apartment to make trips to surrounding famous cities like Florence or go hiking in Cinque Terre or on the Portofino peninsula at those seasons when there are little other tourists. During Christmas season all towns have beautiful christmas street lights and all year long there are different holidays and seasonal food specialities.

The beaches along the coast where our apartment is located belong to the cleanest ones of the Mediterranean Sea and the water quality is high. We also welcome you with a little food package containing some local specialties so you do not have to go shopping for food on the day you arrive. And like it's been written before we provide you with all insider information about the region. Where to shop for food, where to get the best ice-cream and coffee, we also have lots of hiking maps and official tourist guides and information saving you that trip to the tourist information as well.

And there is more good news: We reinvest the money you pay in the apartment. So every time you come there's a good chance that it has become even better, more luxurious and provides more comfort to you. This place means a lot to us and we want you to catch the spirit of this amazing location. We really try to make your stay in Italy unforgettable and enjoy every second of it.

A good service is very important to me so if you inquire for my property you'll usually receive an answer in a short time. Please also check your spam mail because it happened in several cases that my answer to interested persons ended up there.

There are two possibilites to park your car. You can park it 20 yards away from the apartment to unload and load your car comfortably at the side off of the private road through the residential complex. For general parking please use the private garage 45 yards away from the apartment.

Most people with different types of allergies will feel very happy at our place. There is a special vacuum cleaner in the appartment which is for your disposal and used for cleaning the appartment which specifically removes allergens very thoroughly. The fresh sea air does the rest. Please feel free to ask us about plants, trees and grasses located around the apartment.

Special catering service: If ordered you'll find a freshly made traditional lasagna in the fridge upon arrival big enough for 4 people. Price: 20 Euro.

Smoking is absolutely prohibited in the apartment. An ashtray is provided on the balcony.

If you want a housekeeping service inbetween it is available at extra cost. Please ask about it.
