Languedoc-Roussillon is one of the largest wine-producing regions in the world. There is enough to explore, like the Castels of the Catharer, the medieval town of Carcassonne , many small towns,lakes, and also the mountains. If you go 1 hour with car, you will be in the grand nature of the Pyreenees. You will reach the Provence and the Camargue in 1 1/2 hour by car. The next town is Perpignan, 18 km. There´s is a lot of sports and fun: Diving, Tennis, football, volleyball,fishing, boating, Swimmingpools only 3 min. away. Also windsurfing it´s great at the beautiful lagune.
