| Our luxury, attractive house we put up for rent, is part of Village Océlandes, a holiday park in the south-west of France, in a woody setting on the outskirts of the small village of Saint Julien-en-Born, in Les Landes (Aquitaine). Saint-Julien-en-Born is situated between Bordeaux and Biarritz (Spanish border) and at only a few kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean (The Bay of Biscay). The park is rather small, cosy and very suitable for families. Also if privacy is very deer to you, this is no problem at all, because of the situation of our house in the park. The popularity of Les Landes increased considerably the past few years. Especially the coastal area, with almost 230 km of long, beautifully wide sandy beaches, is one of the biggest tourist attractions. But the interior, with about 6000 km2 of woods (pine-trees and cork oaks) and the many lakes, is very popular too. Ground floor - Private entrance - Roomy, attractive living room with (double) sofa-bed, colour television, video and DVD player, radio and CD player - Luxurious, open kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hot plate, fridge with freezing compartment, coffee machine and electric kettle - Large bathroom with extra big shower and wash basin - Separate toilet - Washing machine and tumble dryer - Large storage room underneath the staircase and in the wall cabinet Floor - Bedroom with two single beds (put together) - Bedroom with one single and bunk beds Safety For safety reasons, the house has been provided with: - Smoke detectors - Fire extinguisher - Safe (free) - Stair gate for children The house has a wide terrace at two sides, with a garden facing southwest. This makes it possible to enjoy the sun from early in the morning till late in the evening. Nevertheless, the house can be kept rather cool in summer because the windows and door have been provided with typically French shutters. At the front side, there is an electric sunblind of 4.5 m wide. So if you prefer shade, this isn’t a problem at all. Of course you also can dispose of garden furniture with parasol. During the night, the garden is sprinkled by means of automatic sprinklers. The houses at Village Océlandes are all private property and therefore each house is styled differently inside. It is a small-scaled park and you will not get lost very easily. Nevertheless, there are sufficient facilities to derive pleasure from. You will find a swimming pool, (200 m2) with terrace and a separate pool for very young children, a tennis court, a beach-volleyball field, a pitch, two table-tennis tables, a “petange” court and a small playground. During the high season there is a recreation team which provides activities for both children and adults all day long.
