The apartment building has a secure parking area but you really don't need a vehicle. The rental apartment is conveniently located so you can easily walk to the beach, restaurants, and downtown Porlamar, Margarita. There are buses and taxis passing all day long right in front of the apartment building. Directly across the road from the apartment is a bakery for fresh bread and sweet rolls. There is a mini-supermarket on the ground floor of the apartment building, street vendors sell fresh fruit and there is a laundry nearby. There is also a pair of wild macaws that fly past the condo window nearly every day. Margarita Island is a great vacation spot and has it all; beaches, palm trees, fantastic restaurants with very reasonable prices, some of the most beautiful people in the world, and it is a duty-free port with stores and shopping centers similar to those in the U.S. or Europe.
