The community of Neureichenau with its suburbs Altreichenau and Lackenhäuser is situated in midst of the Bavarian Forst in the tri-national region of Germany/Czecch Republic/Austria or Bavaria/Bohemia/Mühlviertel and is a state-recognised health resort. The tranquility of the beautiful mountain and forest landscape makes the perfect atmosphere of escaping the hectic everyday life and yet have the opportunity to enjoy a wealth of leisure activities, attracting thousands of tourists to the area.Hiking excursions and day trips to the famous “Dreisessel” rock formation, into the border triangle, to Lake Steinemer, the Adalbert Stifter monument or Lake Plöckensteiner (on Czech territory) are very popular with visitors to this area. Sports fans will suffer no shortcomings either, being offered Nordic walking and horse riding trails, a dam for swimming or fishing and a beach volleyball court. The skiing region Hochficht is only 15 kilometres away, and of course you can also be active on one of the many cross-country or sled runs. Just 5 kilometres off the suburb of Lackenhäuser you find the “Knaus Campingpark Lackenhäuser” on a sweeping, park-like property consisting of meadows and forests. The camping park includes a natural swimming pool with clear spring water (open end May until September), a heated indoor pool with a children’s pool, a Kneipp basin, a rustic restaurant, a traditional beer hall, a small supermarket, various playgrouns, table tennis, a soccer field and a volleyball court, sauna and massage facilities (chargeable) as well as a practice for naturopathy (chargeable) and many more amenities. Furnishings The well-furnished mobile homes have one bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two single beds plus a bunk bed for a young child, as well as a suite in the living area that can be converted into a sleeping couch. The living area also includes a kitchenette a kitchenette (gas cooker, fridge, percolator, microwave etc.) and a dinette. There is also a bathroom equipped with a shower, and a separate WC. Each mobile home has a roofed terrace with garden furniture (one table, six chairs and two deckchairs). The following amenities are chargeable: sauna, tanning booth, massages, practice for naturopathy with beauty salon, hairdresser, mini golf course, bicycle rental, tennis court (about 1 km away), electronic games, billiard, bowling, riding stables, common washing machines. Barbecueing is permitted – a barbeque grid can be borrowed free of charge.
